Have you ever thought how one of the reasons it's hard to keep up in our fast paced world is because we're eggs living in s***m world?

In this week's newsletter/podcast, we'll talk about how to embody more of our "egg" energy to help us survive "s***m world"

Who are your "sisters"? Where do you find community?

This week's newsletter and podcast are on community and finding our "sisters" - the women we can be our messy, imperfect, human selves with, and grow together through being a witness and a mirror for each other https://drshanajohnston.com/community/

After a lovely conversation with a new mom recently about the voice in her head telling her she "should" be spending all her time with her baby, I wrote this article

What about you? Do you choose the voice of patriarchy or that of your inner wise woman?

What is your relationship to your feminine nature?

For me, so much of my healing has come from reclaiming my feminine nature, and allowing myself to move through a process of transformation and growth. As I reclaim my feminine nature - feeling my feelings, cultivating my creativity, tuning into my intuition, nurturing my spirit and experiences that bring me joy, connecting with Mother Earth, tapping into my connection to The Divine, and connecting with other women in heart centered community - I feel as though I remembering lost parts of myself and creating a life that feels full, whole, integrated, alive.

Over the next 13 weeks, my intention is to share with you some of what I am learning about each of these different aspects of the Divine Feminine as well as my thoughts on the process of growth and transformation that we are collectively moving through, in the hopes that there will be threads for you in what I share that will help you in your journey of growth and self discovery.

I've been using this metaphor a lot lately to help explain the importance of slowing down and moving through the menopause transition at a more gentle speed.

As busy women, we're used to racing down the highway at full speed, but the hormonal changes of the menopause transition are like a gravel road full of potholes, and if we don't slow down to an appropriate pace, it's a REALLY bumpy ride! Trust me, I know! I hit perimenopause and the menopause transition going way too fast and it wasn't pretty! I don't recommend it!

Three years later, I'm coming out the other side with so much wisdom from the lived experience of a rough transition, and now life feels like driving down a lovely country road. Now that I've made the transition, I'd never go back to highway pace!

What about you? What has been your experience with the hormonal roller coaster? Are you feeling the bumps? What have you been doing to adapt?

I've written a longer article about this and posted it to my website. You can find it at drshanajohnston.com/blog

I've also recently added my talk on Menopause: A Portal to our Wisdom Years. You can find it at drshanajohnston.com/inspiration

If you're a BC resident, I'd love for you to join me and a small group of women to talk about this hormonal roller coaster 💗 You can find out more about my new course Empowered Menopause at drshanajohnston.com/menopause. There's a small ($35) fee for the self paced online portion of the course and the workshop itself is covered by MSP.

Looking forward to meeting you 💗

BC residents - I invite you to join me for my new course "Empowered Menopause".

There are a few spots left in the first cohort:
Part 1 - Hormone Basics - April 21 from 6:30 to 8pm
Part 2 - Navigating Menopause Together - April 28 from 6:30 to 8pm

You can do one or both parts in any order. In part 1 we talk about hormones and hormone therapy in a Q&A type format. In part 2, we come together in community, as women on a journey together - talking about what's working and what's not. Getting the embodied sense that a) we are not broken or crazy and b) we're not alone.

Each of the two parts comes with a self paced online portion where you can move through the content at your own pace. Revisiting the sections that feel most relevant and skimming through the sections that are less relevant. Then we come together, in community, during the workshops for discussion and integration.

There is a small course fee ($35) for the self paced online portion of each of the two parts, and the workshop is covered by MSP/Medavie.
