1 month ago I had eye surgery on my right eye to get my sight back as I had a Vitreous Hemorrhage in October 2023. The afternoon of the surgery I got a call from the cancer clinic saying they had an appointment for my Port removal; in 10 days! I wasn't sure if I would be up for it, but I decided I wanted to get it over with and take the summer to heal from both surgeries. Today I had my follow up for the eye surgery and I am healing well. I can see clearly now!And because of this incident I have a new found respect for anyone with visual impairments. Btw, for anyone on Herceptin (Trastuzamab) it can cause dry eyes, and also Vitreous Hemorrhage or Retinal detachments. I researched it.

The photo is the day of the eye surgery (my friend Lisa is a kindergarten teacher so naturally she had some funny eye stickers)! And the video is of me just waiting outside the OR to get deported! lol! And of course the last one is me having a glass of bubbles to celebrate my deportation! Life is fleeting! Embrace the pain and the glory. Nothing ever stays the same..
