Muscles after a marathon...
:
Your muscles just worked nonstop for hours. Three things happen:
1️⃣ **Salt and water loss** — you sweat out a lot of sodium and potassium. Muscles need those to fire and relax properly. When they're low, the muscle gets stuck "on."
2️⃣ **Fatigue** — your muscles are exhausted. The signals that tell a muscle to contract and relax get scrambled, so the muscle locks up.
3️⃣ **Fuel depletion** — your body runs out of glycogen (stored sugar). Muscles need fuel to release a cramp, not just to create one.
🛠️**The fix:** rehydrate with electrolytes, slow/gentle stretching, and light massage to help the muscle let go. Don't force it.
