What a week at !

From meaningful conversations at our booth to insightful discussions across sessions, this year’s conference reinforced something we’re hearing across the system: digital health is moving forward but it’s how we implement and integrate it that matters most.

We were proud to have members of the Amplify Care team contributing to the conversation throughout the week sharing insights, learning alongside partners, and engaging in discussions that are shaping the future of care.

A highlight for our team was Tuesday morning’s plenary session, which we were proud to sponsor, with our CEO, Dr. Mohamed Alarakhia moderating a powerful discussion that brought together diverse perspectives from across the country. It was an energizing moment that really captured the spirit of the conference, collaborative, thoughtful, and focused on real-world impact.

Beyond the sessions, what stood out most were the connections. The conversations at our booth, in the hallways, and between sessions, hearing what’s top of mind, what’s working, and where support is needed most.

🧡 June 21 marks National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to recognize and celebrate the cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and Urban Indigenous Peoples across Canada.

At Amplify Care, this day is also a moment to reflect on the role we play in supporting more equitable and culturally safe care. Our focus is on working alongside partners and communities to help remove barriers and improve access to care, particularly through digital health.

We know this work is ongoing. Today, and every day, we remain committed to contributing to a healthcare system where Indigenous Peoples are supported, respected, and able to access care in ways that reflect their needs and communities.

Yesterday, members of the Amplify Care team had the opportunity to attend the Kawartha Lakes Haliburton OHT Primary Care Network Event.

The event brought together healthcare professionals to discuss innovative approaches to strengthening care delivery across the region. One of the highlights was a collaborative group activity where participants worked together to explore solutions for incorporating the Health Home/Neighbourhood Model into the OHT, generating thoughtful discussions and practical ideas for supporting more connected, patient-centred care.

We also heard from a variety of speakers who shared valuable insights on the opportunities and challenges facing healthcare today, reinforcing the importance of collaboration, innovation, and community partnerships.

Thank you to the organizers and everyone who contributed to the conversations. We look forward to continuing to support initiatives that help improve health outcomes for the communities we serve!

As comes to a close, we're reflecting on the insightful conversations, innovative ideas, and shared commitment to advancing healthcare across Canada.

A few key themes that stood out to our team today:

🔹 Building trust in AI
Diane Gutiw and Ron Johnson highlighted the importance of strong governance, transparency, and practical implementation to ensure AI solutions deliver meaningful value in clinical settings.

🔹 Improving access to care
Dr. Erin Keely, Dr. Geetha Mukerji, and Dr. Ellen Goldblum shared how TReC is helping connect patients to the right care more quickly while supporting clinicians and reducing system pressures.

🔹 Supporting the healthcare workforce
Discussions around burnout and retention reinforced the need for long-term, system-wide strategies that support healthcare teams and create sustainable change.

🔹 Advancing connected care
We were proud to see Kim Lynch moderate Bridges Not Silos: The Future of Connected Health & No Patient Left Behind, highlighting how collaboration and integration are essential to delivering seamless, patient-centred care.

As the conference wraps up, one thing is clear: there is tremendous momentum across the healthcare sector toward more connected, sustainable, and innovative models of care.

A standout start to the day at

This morning, we had the privilege of sponsoring the plenary session exploring how AI is enhancing the primary care experience, and what an impactful conversation it was.

Day 1 at ✅

What a strong start to the conference in Halifax. Today was filled with great conversations, insightful panels, and new ideas shaping the future of digital health.

This afternoon, our team listened in on several impactful sessions, including discussions on the Pan-Canadian Trust Framework, the Infoway AI Scribe Program and Evaluation, and Empowering Women Through Digital Innovation in Menopause and Midlife Health. Each session reinforced the importance of thoughtful, patient-centred innovation and the role digital tools continue to play in advancing care.

We’re looking forward to carrying that momentum into tomorrow!

Early reflections from Day 1 at so far:

This morning’s sessions reinforced something important, the future of healthcare isn’t just about advancing technology, it’s about building the trust, culture, and systems to use it well.

From a panel featuring Karen Oldfield (Nova Scotia Health), Dr. Tej Shah (Accenture), Dr. Andy Smith (Sunnybrook), and Jimmy Yang (Accenture), to a thoughtful discussion with CMPA on physician concerns around AI, a few themes stood out:

- AI doesn’t just give time back, it gives clinicians attention back to patients
- Value must balance quality, compassion, and cost, not just efficiency
- Physician hesitancy isn’t resistance, it’s critical frontline insight
- Real transformation requires change management, training, and culture, not just innovation
- And in Canada, the challenge remains: moving from pilots to embedded, integrated systems

What’s resonating most? This feels like more than a tech conference, it’s a conversation about integrated care, where technology plays a critical role in enabling teams to work better together.
