We want to give a big shout out to Manitou & District Regional Campground/Regional Park for their work towards making spaces enjoyable for all!
Last year we were having a wiener roast at the park near the lake when it started to rain. We quickly realized that the large concrete step made it very difficult for our participants with mobility issues to seek shelter in the camp kitchen.
We wrote a letter to the Regional Park board requesting they consider making the shelter more accessible and we are so pleased to see what a great job they did in doing so!
We love to access our local community spaces as much as possible and this consideration really helps more individuals enjoy even more areas!

We spent the last day of August having a great day in Saskatoon! We enjoyed lunch at Fuddruckers before splitting into two groups. One group went shopping, while the other tried their luck at Ruckers! What a fun way to kick off the week!🎉

A lot of working and hammering and building was happening at the group home this weekend! One of Matthew’s “summer bucket list” items was building birdhouses, and the crew did just that! We had some kits, and Jason brought some more wood and tools for even bigger ones. Thanks Jason for coming to help staff, and make this goal a reality! Judging by the hard work and happy faces I’d say it was a success. Watch out for Matthew and that hammer! 🔨
