As the weather cools, your skin may need a little extra care. 🍂 Changes in temperature and humidity, along with summer sun exposure, can leave skin feeling dry, dull or more sensitive.

Here are four ways to adjust your skincare routine for the season:

1. Exfoliate gently: Help remove dead skin cells and refresh your skin’s surface without over-exfoliating.

2. Cleanse: Choose a gentle cleanser that removes dirt and impurities without stripping away your skin’s natural oils.

3. Hydrate: Apply moisturizer while your skin is slightly damp to help lock in hydration. Consider a richer formula if your skin feels dry.

4. Support your skin barrier: Look for ingredients like ceramides, glycerin and hyaluronic acid to help maintain moisture and support your skin’s natural protective barrier.

And remember, sunscreen isn’t just for summer! Daily broad-spectrum SPF remains an important part of your skincare routine year-round.

🛍️ Our Personal Care Sale starts Friday! It’s the perfect time to stock up on your fall skincare favourites and save 15%* on personal care. From cleansers and moisturizers to lip balms and more, find a little something to help your skin transition into the cooler months.

Fall is the season of squash — colourful, hearty, and nourishing. Rich in fibre, beta carotene, and vitamin C, squash supports digestion, immunity, and overall wellness. Their natural sweetness and versatility make them a favourite for cozy autumn meals.

Butternut – Smooth and slightly sweet, butternut blends into velvety soups, adds creaminess to pasta sauces, and roasts beautifully for a golden, nutty side dish.

Spaghetti Squash – When baked, its flesh pulls into tender, noodle-like strands. Swap it in for pasta, top with your favourite sauce, or enjoy with olive oil and herbs.

Acorn – With a mild, nutty flavour and tender flesh, acorn squash is perfect for roasting in halves and stuffing with grains, veggies or savoury fillings.

Kabocha – Rich and dense with a slightly sweet taste, kabocha holds its shape well in curries, stews, and stir-fries. It’s also delicious roasted or made into a creamy mash.

Delicata – Known as the “sweet potato squash,” delicata has thin, edible skin that crisps up in the oven. Slice into half-moons, roast until caramelized and enjoy without peeling.

Bring home a mix, try something new, and celebrate the season’s bounty at your table. 🍁

🍄🍫 Celebrate World Mushroom Day with a cozy cup of Reishi Mushroom Hot Cocoa!

Who says functional mushrooms can’t be part of a little afternoon indulgence? This rich, chocolatey cocoa combines earthy reishi powder with antioxidant-rich cacao, a touch of maple sweetness and a hint of cinnamon. It’s a comforting way to explore a different side of medicinal mushrooms.

Reishi Mushroom Hot Cocoa

Ingredients
🍄1 cup plant-based milk
🍄1 tsp reishi mushroom powder
🍄1 tbsp raw cacao powder
🍄1 tsp maple syrup or coconut sugar
🍄Pinch of cinnamon or sea salt

Directions
1. Gently warm the plant-based milk in a saucepan.
2. Whisk in the reishi powder, cacao, sweetener and cinnamon or sea salt until smooth.
3. Pour into your favourite mug, sip slowly and enjoy!

A little mushroom know-how: Reishi contains naturally occurring compounds, including triterpenes and beta-glucans, that are being studied for their biological activity. Research into specific health benefits is ongoing, so think of this cocoa as a cozy ritual rather than a medicinal treatment.

🍄 Happy World Mushroom Day! Let’s talk about our favourite fungi.

If you’re already familiar with the world of functional fungi, you know that not all mushrooms do the same thing. Different species contain different active compounds, making each one interesting for different reasons.

Here’s a closer look at six popular varieties and what makes them unique.

🧠 Lion’s Mane | Brain & Nerve Health
Contains hericenones and erinacines, compounds being studied for their relationship with nerve growth factor and nerve cell health. It’s often chosen by people interested in supporting memory, focus and cognitive function, although human research is still limited.

😌 Reishi | Stress & Adaptation
Rich in triterpenes and beta-glucans, Reishi has a long history of use in traditional wellness practices. It’s commonly used in formulations focused on stress management, relaxation and immune function.

⚡ Cordyceps | Energy & Endurance
Contains compounds such as cordycepin and adenosine that are involved in cellular processes. Cordyceps is popular among active people interested in stamina, exercise performance and energy metabolism.

🛡️ Turkey Tail | Gut & Immune Health
Known for its polysaccharides, including PSK and PSP, Turkey Tail has been studied for its effects on immune activity. Its prebiotic potential also makes it interesting in conversations about the gut microbiome.

✨ Chaga | Antioxidant Activity
Contains polyphenols and other compounds with antioxidant activity in laboratory studies. It’s often explored for cellular protection and healthy aging.

🌿 Maitake | Metabolic Health
Contains beta-glucans and other polysaccharides being investigated for their potential effects on glucose metabolism and immune function. It’s of particular interest to researchers exploring the relationship between mushrooms and metabolic health.

Tangy, tart and full of flavour, cranberries aren’t just for the sauce. These ruby-red gems are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and fibre that support immune and urinary health while adding a bright burst to your Thanksgiving plate.

Try this simple, healthy Fresh Cranberry Sauce:
In a saucepan, combine 3 cups fresh cranberries, ½ cup orange juice, ¼ cup maple syrup, and a pinch of cinnamon. Simmer 10–15 minutes until the berries pop and the sauce thickens. Let cool before serving.

Naturally sweet, perfectly tart and free from refined sugar, it's a better way to enjoy a Thanksgiving classic. 🍂
