Calling All Young Entrepreneurs!

Have you ever dreamed of turning a hobby, talent, or creative idea into a real business?

The Health Centre is excited to launch our Youth Entrepreneur Program for youth ages 12–17!

Over four interactive workshops, participants will learn:
~ How to develop a business idea
~ Branding and marketing
~ Pricing, profit, and budgeting
~ How to create an eye-catching market booth and sell with confidence

The program will culminate with participants receiving a sponsored vendor space at the Dutton Farmers Market on September 13th, where they'll have the opportunity to showcase and sell their products to the community.

Whether you're interested in art, baking, crafts, woodworking, gardening, jewelry making, or another creative venture, this program will help you take your idea from concept to customer.

ONLY 4 entrepreneur spots are available (partner applications welcome and count as one business).

NEW THIS SUMMER: ATHLETE PEN PAL PROGRAM ⚾

Calling all baseball and softball players ages 10–13!

This summer, youth will be paired with a player from the Dutton U18 Select Baseball Team and exchange letters throughout the season. Participants will receive a baseball card featuring their athlete pen pal and have the opportunity to build a connection with a local role model who shares their love of the game.

The program will wrap up with a special event on:

📍 Dutton Ball Diamonds

Participants and their athlete pen pals will come together for:
⚾ A fun baseball game
🌭 Dinner together
🤝 The chance to meet in person

This is a unique opportunity for young athletes to build confidence, make connections, and be inspired by older players in our community.

June is Brain Injury Awareness Month.

This month, we’re joining organizations across Canada in going Beyond the Injury.

Brain injury affects every part of a person’s life — memory, emotions, relationships, work, confidence, identity and daily routines. Many challenges are invisible, misunderstood or faced in silence.

At BIALR, we believe survivors and caregivers deserve understanding, connection and support at every stage of recovery.

Throughout June, we’ll be sharing stories, resources, education and ways you can help build a more compassionate and informed community.

Together, we can go Beyond the Injury.
