Today was a powerful moment at the Alberta Legislature.

Advocates from across the province came together to watch the debate on Bill 206 – the Accessible Alberta Act, legislation that could finally move Alberta toward real accessibility standards for people with disabilities.

For decades, disabled Albertans have been asking for the same thing: clear rules so accessibility isn’t optional.

It was an honour to join so many incredible advocates in the gallery today. I want to extend my sincere thanks and love to everyone who showed up. Moments like this remind me just how strong and committed this community is.

The final vote is expected next Monday afternoon.

If people with disabilities matter to you, please take two minutes to contact your MLA and ask them to support accessibility legislation in Alberta.

History doesn’t change on its own.
It changes when people show up 💚
