Sometimes we don’t need to do more.
We just need a moment to arrive. 🌿
This simple practice combines grounding, Prana Mudra, and an extended exhale to help you pause, connect with yourself, and settle into the present moment.
Try it as a transition between activities, at the beginning of your day, or anytime you feel like you need a little more space to simply be.

Meet yourself where you are. 💛

Returning to teaching public classes in Whistler at Yogacara Whistler😊

This season has been a reminder that returning doesn’t have to mean rushing.
The past several weeks have invited me to slow down, listen more deeply, and appreciate the small steps along the way. My own recovery has strengthened my belief that the most supportive practice is the one that meets us where we are.
I’m grateful to be returning to teach Monday Restorative Yoga at Yogacara, and I’ll also be offering some Yin and Gentle Yoga classes as opportunities arise.
I’m looking forward to reconnecting with this wonderful community and sharing practices that create space for rest, reflection, and renewal.
Whether you’re joining after a break, exploring yoga for the first time, or simply needing a pause in your week, I look forward to sharing the practice with you.
Here’s to nourishing practices, strengthening our own resources, and meeting ourselves where we are. 💗

🌿 Returning to Teaching, One Step at a Time 🌿
Over the past few weeks, my own healing journey has reminded me of the importance of patience, adaptability, and meeting ourselves exactly where we are.
Recovery has given me a deeper appreciation for practices that support us—not by asking more of our bodies, but by helping us reconnect with ourselves.
This month, I’ve begun gently returning to teaching with online Chair Yoga and Meditation classes.
It feels especially meaningful to begin again through practices that embody what I value most about yoga: accessibility, compassion, mindfulness, and connection.
Chair Yoga is not a “lesser” practice. It is a practice that meets you where you are—whether you’re navigating illness, recovery, pain, fatigue, stress, mobility changes, or simply looking for a gentler way to move.
I’m grateful to be sharing these practices again and looking forward to continuing this journey, one breath and one class at a time.💛

The Sturgeon Moon, rising in August, is named for the large fish that were traditionally caught during this time. This full moon encourages reflection on abundance and the importance of nurturing both personal and communal connections.

🌿 Global Yoga Therapy Day 🌿
Today is Global Yoga Therapy Day—a day to celebrate a practice that has shaped both my work and my own personal journey.
This past month, I’ve had the opportunity to experience yoga therapy from a different perspective: as someone navigating recovery and learning to meet my body where it is.
My practice has looked different lately. It has included breathwork, meditation, rest, gentle movement, and the simple act of listening.
I’m being reminded that healing isn’t always about doing more or moving faster. Sometimes it’s about slowing down, adapting, and creating the conditions for the body and nervous system to feel supported.
This is at the heart of yoga therapy: a personalized practice that honours each person’s unique experience, needs, and goals.
I’m grateful for this work, for the teachers and traditions that continue to inspire me, and for the opportunity to share these practices with others.

The Blue Moon, occurring when two full moons happen in a single month, is a rare celestial event that invites reflection and intention-setting.

A rare moon. A gentle reminder.
*Release what no longer serves.
*Reconnect with what matters.
*Trust the timing of your own healing.

The body knows how to find balance when we create the conditions for it.

✨ What are you calling in this Blue Moon?
