As we inhabit our bodies more fully, we begin to notice what a sacred vehicle the body is for engaging with and experiencing the world.
Not only the body we work out, manicure, shave and nurture — all important ways of caring for it — but the alive vibrancy that the body brings to our experience of life.
And we begin to meet life less through the thinking mind and more through that spacious, empty mind that allows us to simply be — with ourselves, with others, at work, with our children.
There is something so juicy and deeply satisfying about living this way.
The more I practice this embodied way of living, the more I
experience it.
Gabrielle Roth, the founder of 5Rhythms, said:
“I just want to seduce you into your own body, so you can move through the world in this authentic, lively way.”
And so, humbly, I try to do a little of the same.
I would love to invite you to join me on the dance floor this September in Squamish and Whistler, to move, to listen, and perhaps to discover a little more of the aliveness that is already here, in your own body.
