Isha Hatha Yoga programs are an extensive exploration of classical hatha yoga, which revive various dimensions of this ancient science that are largely absent in the world today.

These programs offer an unparalleled opportunity to explore Upa-yoga, Angamardana, Surya Kriya, Surya Shakti, Yogasanas and Bhuta Shuddhi, among other potent yogic practices.

From an Ayurvedic lens, every child comes into this world with a unique constitution and way of being.

In this conversation, we explored Kapha-type kids—the calm, affectionate, grounded souls who often teach us the beauty of patience, consistency, and unconditional love. While they may not always be the loudest in the room, their quiet strength and nurturing nature leave a lasting impact.

A beautiful reminder that understanding a child’s prakriti can help us support them with greater awareness, compassion, and wisdom. 🌿✨

Kids today are overstimulated, overscheduled, and deeply disconnected from their own bodies.

It’s not their fault. It’s the world they’re growing up in.

Classical Hatha Yoga gives them something rare — a moment to slow down, to feel their feet on the ground, to breathe on purpose. To exist without performing.

What begins as a class becomes a foundation.
One they’ll stand on for the rest of their lives.

Somewhere along the way, yoga became about the pose.
About how far you can bend, how long you can hold, how good it looks in a photo.

Classical Hatha Yoga is something else entirely.

It’s a science. A precise, ancient technology designed to bring the human body and mind into a state it rarely gets to experience stillness, clarity, aliveness.

Not as a mood. As a baseline.

This is what I teach. This is what Sadhguru has transmitted for the world to access.

And once you feel the difference, you can’t unfeel it.

You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to believe anything.
You just need to show up.
Classical Hatha Yoga takes care of the rest.

At first, it looks impossible.
The body resists, the breath gets louder, and the mind starts negotiating.

But then something shifts.

You stop fighting the practice and start flowing with it.
And somewhere in that intensity, Angamardana stops feeling like exercise and starts feeling like transformation. ⚡

Sometimes the most beautiful moments don’t look extraordinary at all.
They’re quiet, simple, and easy to miss sunlight falling through the trees, the sound of the wind, the feeling of slowing down for a second.

Nature has this effortless way of making everything feel softer.
Like a gentle reminder that life doesn’t always have to be rushed to be meaningful. 🌿

Yoga can be especially powerful for students because it supports not just the body, but also the mind and emotional balance—things that directly affect learning, memory, and focus.

For students, one of the biggest benefits is improved concentration. Regular yoga practice helps calm mental “noise,” making it easier to stay attentive in class and retain what is taught. Practices like breath control (pranayama) train the brain to slow down and focus instead of reacting to distractions.

It also helps with stress and exam pressure. School life often comes with deadlines, competition, and performance anxiety. Yoga activates the body’s relaxation response, which lowers stress levels and helps students feel more steady during exams or presentations.

On the physical side, yoga improves posture, flexibility, and strength—important because students spend long hours sitting. Better posture also reduces fatigue and back/neck strain, which indirectly improves productivity.

Emotionally, yoga builds self-awareness. Students become more aware of their thoughts and reactions, which helps them manage frustration, anger, or overthinking in healthier ways.

Finally, it supports better sleep. A calmer nervous system and reduced screen-driven overstimulation often lead to deeper rest, which is essential for memory consolidation and learning.

In short, yoga helps students become more focused, less stressed, physically comfortable, and emotionally balanced—creating a stronger foundation for both academics and personal growth

Recently attended the thread ceremony of one of my little lovely yogi, and my heart felt so full.

Living in Canada, where parents are already balancing work, home, schedules, and so much more, it is not easy to go above and beyond to keep our traditions alive. Yet seeing families put in so much love, care, and devotion to pass on our culture to the next generation was truly beautiful.

These moments remind me that culture is not preserved through grand speeches, but through small, sincere efforts made with love. The rituals, the prayers, the gathering of family, the joy in the children’s eyes… all of it carries something timeless forward.

Deeply moved and inspired. 🌸

Thank you so much for making me a part of this beautiful celebration.
