Can we have a little heart-to-heart about menopause?
As someone who’s in it, I wish someone had told me years ago that menopause isn’t just about hot flashes and missing periods.
It’s about metabolism.
It’s about muscle.
It’s about blood sugar.
It’s about sleep.
It’s about stress.
It’s about your heart, your bones, your brain, and how resilient your body is when hormones begin to change.
The best time to prepare for menopause isn’t when you’re already in it.
It’s before.
If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be this:
Build muscle.
Prioritize protein.
Protect your sleep.
Manage your stress.
Take care of your metabolic health.
Because when menopause arrives, it tends to magnify whatever foundation you’ve built.
The good news?
It’s never too late.
Whether you’re 35, 45, or already in the thick of it, every healthy choice you make today is an investment in the woman you’ll be tomorrow.
