There’s a reason therapy can feel overwhelming, or like it’s not actually helping.

It’s not because you’re doing it wrong.

It’s often because the pace, approach, or focus isn’t aligned with how trauma actually works in the body.

At Amethyst Therapy we understand how hard it is to reach out for support, especially if it’s your first time, or you haven’t felt comfortable with therapy in the past. I shared a blog post recently that talked about Somatic Experiencing and how this approach not only reduces nervous system symptoms, but also strengthens your ability to cope with future stressors.
