“You got cleared to exercise at 6 weeks postpartum? That’s not the finish line.”
One of the biggest misconceptions in postpartum recovery is that your 6-week checkup means your body is fully healed and ready to jump back into exercise.
The reality?
At 6 weeks postpartum, your tissues are still healing.
Your core is still recovering.
Your pelvic floor is still adapting.
Your hormones are still changing.
And many moms are still experiencing symptoms they think are “normal.”
Being cleared for exercise simply means there are no major medical concerns preventing you from being active.
It does not mean:
❌ Your pelvic floor is functioning optimally.
❌ Your abdominal wall has regained strength and coordination.
❌ You’re ready for running, HIIT, heavy lifting, or intense workouts.
If you’re leaking urine, feeling heaviness or pressure, dealing with back pain, struggling with core control, or noticing symptoms during workouts, your body may be asking for more support before progressing.
‼️ Postpartum recovery isn’t measured by a date on the calendar.
It’s measured by function. ‼️
Your body deserves more than a 6-week clearance—it deserves a plan.
If you’re looking for a real support, I’m here. 🤍
