I made these with the thought in mind that patients deserve access to clear, supportive information throughout every stage of recovery — not just immediately following surgery.

Breast surgery recovery can involve far more than healing an incision. Pain, restriction, swelling, sensitivity, postural changes, scar adhesion, and nervous system regulation can all impact day-to-day quality of life long after a procedure.

These brochures were created to help provide accessible education around the supportive role manual therapy may play following:

• Mastectomy
• Lumpectomy
• Reconstruction
• Elective breast surgery

Some of these resources have already been shared within healthcare and wellness spaces, but I recently updated and refined the information to better reflect my current approach to care and recovery support.

They’ll continue to be available in clinic and shared with local healthcare providers throughout Windsor. 🤍

Infant and child Massage Therapy is now available 🤍

Now offering gentle, therapeutic massage for your babies of all ages, designed specifically from the earliest stages of life onwards.

These sessions are slow, calm and tailored to each child's needs.

This type of treatment may help support:

• Relaxation & improved sleep
• Digestive comfort (gas, colic, constipation support)
• Regulation of the nervous system
• Muscle tension from birth positioning
• Bonding and a sense of safety through nurturing touch

When booking for your little one, you’ll now see recommended session lengths based on age and stages of development.

These are gentle guidelines designed to match a child’s tolerance, attention capacity, and nervous system needs. Every session is adapted in the moment to ensure your child feels safe, comfortable, and supported with a parent or guardian present at all times.

If you’re unsure whether your baby should attend, please reach out before your appointment

Why do I feel bruised after a massage — or notice bruising later?

It can be surprising, but it’s not always a bad thing.

During massage therapy, we’re working with layers of muscle, fascia, and connective tissue that may be tight, restricted, or holding long-standing tension. When those tissues finally release, a few things can happen:

• Tenderness or “bruised” sensations can come from increased circulation and nervous system response
• True bruising may occur if capillaries close to the surface are fragile or if deeper, focused work was needed
• Areas with chronic tension or adhesions are more likely to feel sore afterward
• Hydration, stress levels, medications, and recovery capacity all play a role

This doesn’t mean the treatment was “too much” — it means your body is processing change.

That said, massage should never feel unsafe or leave you concerned. Communication matters. Pressure is always adjustable, and your treatment should feel supportive, not overwhelming.

If you ever notice bruising or lingering soreness, let your therapist know. We can modify techniques, pressure, and pacing to better support your body.

Healing isn’t always silent — sometimes it speaks through sensation.

I think sometimes we forget that we need to put ourselves first, regardless of how we think that might make someone else feel in that moment, especially when our intentions are pure.

As a manual therapist I understand that as good as I am to some, I might not be for everyone. I know I have good days and bad days, as we all do. I also know that there are so many others out there that are much better than I am and maybe they are going to be able to help you better than I can. I’ve never had an issue referring patients out to others in hopes they can find answers that I’m unable to give or alternate treatments that might be better suited to your needs. Don’t feel bad for “cheating” on whoever you go to regularly when it comes to your well being. Esp when you need something more for your self. As I tell most, if not all of my patients, as long as you are getting what you need, I’m happy. You come first. Always 💜

Sports massage therapy

Usually preformed with no sheets. Patient tends to wear shorts (men) or for women, a sports bra or a loose fitting tank top & shorts. The assessment process can take a little longer & there tends to be more mobility throughout the treatment which can be passive or assisted active movements. Sometimes I’ll bring some tools out to assist in breaking down scar tissue, adhesions, fascia & soft tissue.

You do not have to be an athlete in order to receive this type of treatment.

Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions. Link in my bio will take you straight to an online booking portal.
