✨️The Scapula✨️
(Or, in simple terms: the shoulder blade 😉)
The scapular region holds so many knots because it’s surrounded by muscles that work constantly to stabilize your shoulders, neck, and upper back.
Everyday habits like poor posture, stress, repetitive arm movements, and even sleeping positions can cause these muscles—such as the rhomboids, trapezius, and levator scapulae—to become tight and overworked.
Since the scapula acts as a key anchor point for movement and support, tension often builds there over time, creating trigger points and discomfort that many people describe as stubborn “knots.”
The deep muscle technique shown above is commonly used by therapists to help release stubborn knots, restore proper shoulder blade mobility, and prevent the scapula from becoming restricted or “jammed.”
