Why does a white cane have reflective tape? 🦯
The reflective material helps make a blind or visually impaired traveler more visible to drivers and others, especially at night or in low-light conditions. When headlights hit the tape, it reflects light back toward the driver, making the cane easier to notice.

Sometimes, changes in the outside environment are useful tools for cane users to find their way.
When out and about, cane users may use objects they know in the environment to help orientate themselves towards their destination. Just like how our team member knows that after they pass two trees, they have reached the pedestrian crossing.
