A little real talk today. 💭
One of the quickest ways to lose sight of your own growth is by comparing your progress to someone else’s achievements.
You’re looking at someone else’s chapter 20 while you’re living your chapter 3.
What you don’t see are the years of mistakes, setbacks, sacrifices, self-doubt, and lessons that got them there. You only see the highlight reel.
For me, this is something I’m still actively working on. It’s an ongoing journey, and some days are easier than others. But I think it’s important to talk about it because chances are, someone else is feeling the exact same way.
It’s good to connect over the things we’re all navigating instead of pretending we have it all figured out.
Instead of asking, “Why am I not there yet?” try asking, “How far have I come?”
Celebrate your own wins, even the small ones. They add up. Growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s simply choosing to keep going when nobody else sees the work you’re putting in.
Keep your eyes on your own path. The only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday. ✨
