Hope Centre Ministries Spiritual Care for people living with disabilities. HCM provides spiritual care for individuals with disabilities.

We offer supports for individuals through a variety of programs, we facilitate a parent support network, and offer support and resources to faith communities who want to better include individuals with disabilities within their circle.

A new building comes with a lot of new keys— and a lot of work behind the scenes!

Pam, our Building/Office Administrator, is one of the people making life at our new location run smoothly. Her role includes keeping track of alllllll the keys (she says it feels like there are 1,000 of them! 😄), caring for the building, and connecting with the tenants who share our space.

But one of her favourite parts of the new building is actually her office window. She loves being able to see community life happening around her.

From keys and tenants to the everyday details that keep things moving, Pam helps create a building where people can gather, work, and belong.

This summer, HCM programs began gathering at 891 St. Mary’s Road. Ministry is already happening here.

The next step is a dedicated HCM Suite with offices, creative and program spaces, room for planning and production, and a customer-facing space for The Raw Carrot HCM.

Spaces designed to support belonging and ministry for years to come.

World Cerebral Palsy Day invites us to notice the barriers that keep people from participating fully in community.

Access matters, whether it’s getting into a building, joining a conversation, or having the opportunity to share your gifts.

We ALL have gifts, and our communities need the gifts of people with cerebral palsy.

At our latest Community Sunday, we celebrated God’s faithfulness in bringing us to our new home at 891 St. Mary’s Road, and asked an important question: How will we live here?

Rooted in Micah 6:8 which tells us, “Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God,” we reflected on seven commitments for this new chapter:

WELCOME. LISTEN. GIFTS. NEIGHBOUR. TRUTH. SERVE. BELONGING.

These words describe the kind of community we want to be— a people who make room, listen well, honour our neighbours, tell the truth, share our gifts, serve others, and create spaces where people are known and belong.

We also took time to acknowledge the land we now call home. We are excited to receive a land title with our name on it, but our name is not the first on this land. We are part of a much bigger story, and being good neighbours means listening, learning, and honouring those who have come before us and those who are here today.

Our community signed our logo together as a pledge for how we will live at 891 St. Mary's Road, and what we hope our H will be known for in this neighbourhood and beyond.

God has brought us here. Now we get to live here together!

The word "thanks" and these pumpkins came to life as colours blended together. Thanksgiving calls us to notice blessings. We believe everyone possesses unique gifts, and a grateful heart helps us celebrate those gifts in ourselves and others, building a community of appreciation and joy.
