Right. Because humans only started tattooing 5,000+ years ago.

Ancient mummies had tattoos.
Ötzi the Iceman had 61 of them.
Entire cultures built ritual, identity, grief, protection, beauty, and rebellion into tattooing long before some guy named Brad started calling them “unprofessional.”

People have always marked their bodies with things that mattered to them.

That part never changed.

The only thing that changed is now you don’t have to belong to some ancient warrior clan to get tattooed by someone skilled.

Not every piercing works on every body, and a good piercer will always tell you that upfront.

Things like daith, tongue, navel, and eyebrow piercings are highly anatomy-dependent. There needs to be enough tissue to support the piercing, the right structure to hold it in place, and no underlying factors that could cause complications down the line.

We’ll check all of that before anything happens, because a piercing that isn't right for your anatomy isn't going to last, and that's not a result either of you want.

The goal is always a piercing that heals well, sits beautifully, and lasts a lifetime.

A lot of people think choosing between colour and black and grey is just personal preference.

It’s not.

Your skin tone matters.
The design matters.

Some tattoos absolutely come alive in colour. Bold palettes, soft blends, high contrast work… when colour is done well, it can be incredible.

Black and grey has its own kind of magic too. It can create softness, depth, texture, and a timeless feel that settles beautifully into the skin over time.

First tattoos come with a lot of unsolicited opinions and not nearly enough actual information. We'd rather you walk in knowing what to expect than spend the week before your appointment spiralling through Reddit threads.

What to wear to your tattoo appointment.

We're not judging your outfit. We just need to reach the spot without a whole wardrobe situation.

The goal: Easy access to the area getting tattooed. Clothes you can sit in for hours. Something you won't be mad about if it gets ink or blood on it.

What not to wear:

Rompers.

Brand new white anything will not survive.

Stiff denim. You'll regret it by hour two.

A full face of makeup if you're getting tattooed anywhere near your neck or chest. You'll sweat. It'll smear. It's not worth it.

Perfume or heavy lotion. Your artist is inches from your skin for hours. Keep it neutral.
