Somaliland’s leader reportedly travelled to the United States with a delegation of 25 people. Now, on the fifth day of the visit, there has reportedly been no publicly confirmed meeting with senior U.S. government officials.

This has raised questions about the purpose and outcome of the trip. Some observers are even describing it as more of a family or private visit than a diplomatic mission.

The real question is: If this was an official diplomatic visit, where are the meetings and what concrete outcomes have been achieved?
