This week, Pharmacists Manitoba had the pleasure of meeting with first-year pharmacy students for a Lunch & Learn at the College of Pharmacy!

Presented by Pharmacists Manitoba Board Member Christine Vaccaro, the session introduced students to our organization and other key pharmacy organizations, including the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA), highlighting the important roles they play in supporting pharmacists and the profession.

Pharmacists Manitoba stands with the Indigenous Pharmacy Professionals of Canada (IPPC) following the hateful, racist and transphobic attack that disrupted its National Day for Truth and Reconciliation webinar.

We unequivocally condemn this act of hate and support Amy Lamb, the IPPC community and attendees.

The webinar created an important opportunity to listen, learn and reflect on truth, systemic racism and the experiences of Indigenous Peoples. These conversations are essential to advancing reconciliation.

There is no place for racism, homophobia or transphobia in pharmacy, healthcare or our communities. We support IPPC’s continued work and are committed to reconciliation.
