Hello to all. This is Mark, and I am posting again. I am continuing my search for a kidney donor for transplantation in Winnipeg, as I have not yet found a donor. After undergoing a successful liver transplant in April 2025, I am now in need of a kidney, as my kidneys failed while I was waiting for a liver transplant.
• Kidneys from living donors last longer than those from deceased donors
• Transplant recipients live longer, healthier lives than on dialysis.
• Anyone over 18 and in good health can apply.
• You don’t need to be a relative or have the same blood type.

To find a donor, my family and I are working with Renewal Canada a wonderful non-profit that helps people connect with living kidney donors. They guide donors every step of the way, with complete confidentiality, and at no financial cost. I’m 67 and live in Winnipeg, where I care for my 88-year-old widowed mother. I’ve spent 50 years in hospitality and have always been active, I enjoy swimming, traveling, going on long fast-paced walks, and cooking large, memorable feasts for family and friends.
My family supported me through my life-altering illness, reminding me just how tight-knit and loving my family truly is. My liver transplant has given me hope to regain the strength and abilities I lost, but the loss of my kidneys has been an emotional blow, making full recovery more challenging. Together with my family, I continue the search for a kidney donor, hoping to reclaim the life I love.
