The research on heavy metal excretion through sweat is rock solid.
So what’s leaving our body exactly??
Cadmium..mostly accumulates from industrial pollution and cigarette smoke to name a few. Your kidneys can’t always catch it but our sweat glands don’t miss.
Mercury…found in dental amalgams, certain fish and industrial exposure but with repeated sauna exposure it can come out through our sweat.
Lead…exposure tends to come from old paint, old pipes (Ew Winnipeg🫣), some cosmetics and contaminated soil. Lead is found in greater concentrations in sweat than the other parts of a BUS test.
Arsenic…whether it’s high or low levels of exposure, hands down sweat extracts the most.
Now that’s just heavy metals…not to mention the power house sweat sessions to help pull BPA, Phthalates, pesticides, and even flame retardants.
So bottom line… Sweat Every Day.
Let it be from activity or your rest day in the sauna. But don’t forget to sweat♨️
