We are thrilled to share that Meaghan Hannigan (“Meg”) has officially joined Axtion Independence Mobility Inc. full-time as our Product Engineer, with an additional governance role as CSAB Product & Clinical Integration Lead.

Meg brings a rare blend of engineering expertise and clinical research experience. She completed her B.Eng. in Biomechanical Engineering at Queen's University, followed by a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Research at Dalhousie University, where she focused on mobility, physical function, and musculoskeletal health. She then spent a year in clinical research with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Nova Scotia Health, supporting post‑operative recovery and real‑world mobility outcomes.

Meg has already made a meaningful impact on the evolution of our award-winning RAYMEX Lift – from engineering analysis and testing to continuous improvement, regulatory documentation, and structured problem‑solving. Her ability to bridge engineering, clinical evidence, and user needs is exceptional.

In her governance role, Meg will support our soon-to-be-announced Clinical & Scientific Advisory Board (CSAB), helping maintain our product roadmap, prepare evidence summaries, coordinate advisory cycles, and translate clinical guidance into engineering action. She is also developing expertise in regulatory and quality systems as we prepare for continued submissions in Canada, the U.S., and internationally.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Meg on the team. Welcome officially, Meg – we’re so glad you’re here!

We’re so excited to share this! The Maritime Made crew from Eastlink TV and Firefly Digital Media visited our manufacturing location at Precise Design’s plant earlier this year to film the story behind the RAYMEX® Lift – designed in Nova Scotia and built right here in Canada by an incredible team in Town of Amherst, NS (cc: Cumberland Business Connector)

A huge thank you to Invest Nova Scotia for supporting this project and believing in local innovation. Their backing helped make this possible.

The episode aired on Eastlink TV in March, and it’s now available on YouTube. We couldn’t be prouder of the entire team including Jackie (Nana Jacqueline Leis), Jaimie Smith, and Nate Tynes from our partners at Precise Design who bring the RAYMEX Lift to life every day.

We also want to thank Tony Stewart and Martha Morse for starring in our demo video!

We’re proud to announce our new partnership with MobilityCare, one of Australia’s most trusted providers of complex rehabilitation and assistive technology!

Together, we’re bringing the RAYMEX® Lift to Australia — a clinically informed, dignity‑focused lifting, transfer, and mobility system designed for real‑world care environments at home and in healthcare facilities.

The RAYMEX® Lift made its Australian debut last week at ATSA Sydney, and will be showcased this week at the Digital Health Festival in Melbourne. MobilityCare’s deep clinical relationships and three decades of trust make them the ideal partner to introduce the RAYMEX® Lift to clinicians, prescribers, and care teams across the country.

This partnership represents a shared commitment to improving safety, reducing manual handling strain, and supporting genuine independence for people with complex mobility needs.
