4th Annual Run for the Light with the Modern Mystery School ✨

This year’s run was more than a run—it was a devotion, a collective heartbeat, and a reminder of what happens when we move together for something greater than ourselves.

First, I want to give deep gratitude to Ipssiuma Franca Lanyon and Co-Caption for the unwavering dedication, organization, and heart in bringing this event to life. Your hard work is felt in every step we took and in every life that will be impacted by what we raised.

And to everyone who donated, supported, and believed in this mission—thank you. You are the reason this ripple of light continues to grow.

Last year we raised $22,000 for the Parkdale Food Bank, which provided enough to feed approximately 45 families for one year—or one family for 45 years.

This year… we raised over $51,000.

That means this year we are able to support well over 100 families for an entire year (or the equivalent impact in long-term support). Let that sink in. Over 100 families nourished, held, and supported because of collective generosity and love.

The Parkdale Food Bank is so much more than a food bank. They provide weekly services, care for elderly community members, and deliver food directly—often with the same person forming a consistent, compassionate relationship. Their mission is powerful, and honestly, in a first world country, services like this shouldn’t be necessary—but they are. And they are meeting that need with dignity, consistency, and heart for the people of Toronto.

This year’s run was cold… and I’m still feeling it in my bones weeks later. But I am also feeling something deeper—pride, gratitude, and awe at what we accomplished together.
