Slide Into My DMs Like a Pro: The Consultation Cheat Sheet 📥✨
I love seeing "Hey, I want a tattoo!" in my inbox, but if you want a fast quote and a "Yes!" from me, help me help you! Think of your first message like a recipe—if you leave out the ingredients, I can’t tell you what’s for dinner (or how much it costs).
Here is the "Big Four" you should include in your first message:
1. The "What" (The Subject) 🐉
What are we tattooing? An anime character? A graffiti-style word? A fine-line flower? If you have reference photos, attach them! Even a chicken scratch drawing on a napkin helps me see what's in your head.
2. The "Where" (The Placement) 📍
"On my arm" is a good start, but "on my inner forearm" or "back of my calf" is better. Some spots are trickier to tattoo than others, and knowing the location helps me design a piece that flows with your body's natural curves.
3. The "How Big" (The Size) 📏
Try to give me a rough estimate in inches (e.g., 4x4 inches). Avoid saying "medium-sized," because my version of medium might be your version of "half my back."
4. The "Vibe" (Color or Black & Grey) 🖤🎨
Do you want bold, vibrant colors that pop, or a sleek, high-contrast black and grey look? This changes how I prep my station and how long the session will take.
Bonus Tip: Mention your availability! If you’re only free on weekends, let me know upfront so we can get you on the schedule faster.
