That’s probably why I love custom work so much. There’s something really special about taking an idea and slowly figuring out what it could become. Where it should go, how it should flow with the body, what little details make it feel like yours.

Sometimes the best ideas are hiding in the most unexpected places. 🤍

Sometimes inspiration comes flooding in unexpectedly, at the strangest times. And other times, it’s hard to even pretend to feel inspired.

Lately I’ve been working on a project and really struggling to find the right inspiration when it comes to leaves.

So, a meander through the fields was exactly what I needed. 🌿

Sometimes you just have to step away from the work for a minute and let the inspiration find you.

Meandering through the weeds

Small doesn’t always mean simple.

One of the biggest misconceptions with fine line and micro-realism is that smaller tattoos should automatically be less expensive or take less time.

In reality, some of the tiniest surrealism and micro-realism pieces can take 2–6 hours to complete. When you’re working at that scale, there can be an incredible amount of detail packed into a very small space. Often I ncluding carefully layering different tones of grey to create depth, dimension and softness.

There are also usually several different ways we can approach the same idea. If you have a realism piece you love but you’re working within a particular budget, I’m always happy to help you find an approach that gives you the look you’re after while staying within a range that feels comfortable for you.

A little glimpse into today’s session, straight from the camera.

I don’t think I’ll ever stop feeling grateful that this is what I get to do every day. To create something meaningful with someone. To be trusted with their ideas, their stories and their skin. It truly is such a privilege.

I love this work. I love the process. And I’m so grateful for every person who allows me to do it. ✨

Finger and hand tattoos have a way of looking effortlessly elevated✨almost like jewellery you never have to take off. They’re subtle and beautiful in their own little way.

One thing to know: because of the placement and the amount of wear these areas experience, hand and finger tattoos often need a touchup. It’s simply part of the process, and your touchup is included in the cost of your initial appointment.
