🌱 One Small Nutrition Habit

This week, take a look at your lunch.

Does it include a source of protein?

Protein can help keep you satisfied throughout the afternoon and support muscle health. Pairing it with fibre-rich foods can also help provide more lasting energy.

Simple lunch ideas:
🥪 Turkey or chicken sandwich on whole grain bread
🥗 Salad topped with grilled chicken, tofu, or chickpeas
🥣 Lentil soup with whole grain crackers
🥚 Egg salad on toast
🥣 Cottage cheese with fruit and whole grain crackers

You don't need to make your lunch complicated, just think about including a protein food alongside the foods you already enjoy.

Challenge: Try adding a source of protein to your lunch at least three days this week.

🌱 One Small Nutrition Habit

This week, focus on adding one extra fibre-rich food to your day.

Fibre supports digestive health, helps keep you feeling full and can contribute to more stable energy levels.

Easy ways to boost your fibre intake:
🍓 Add berries to your yogurt or oatmeal
🥕 Include veggies with lunch
🫘 Toss beans or lentils into soups, salads or tacos
🍞 Choose whole grain bread or wraps
🍿 Snack on air-popped popcorn

Instead of worrying about what to cut out, think about what you can add! One small change each day can make a big difference over time.

This week, try eating one meal or snack each day without distractions.

That means putting away your phone, turning off the TV or stepping away from your computer for 10–15 minutes.

When we're distracted, it's easy to eat quickly and miss our body's hunger and fullness cues. Taking a few minutes to focus on your meal can help you:
🍽️ Enjoy your food more
😊 Notice when you're comfortably full
🧠 Feel more satisfied after eating

You don't have to do this for every meal... just start with one. Small habits are often the easiest to stick with.
