Naturally Dene Cultural workshops on creating lotions, creams, plant medicines, hide drums, rattles, feather beadin Both Lila and Roy are Dene from the north.

Naturally Dene is 100% Dene owned and operated by Lila and Roy Erasmus Jr. It has evolved from providing just teas, to offering a whole variety of cultural teachings and workshops. Bows and Arrows has a long history of providing Indigenous teachings and has done so by engaging with the qualified and talented Indigenous community to provide quality workshops. Past workshops have included: teepee ma

king, drum and rattle making or beading and sewing classes. Today, Lila shares her experience with you to provide specific workshops, either on Dene Plants and how to make your own creams and lotions or how to make your own person drum or rattle. As well, she can liaise with the community to provide advanced and specialty workshops for your company, organization or government. If Lila cannot provide a specific workshop, she will work to find the right person for you. Naturally Dene understands community protocol and aims to provide as many benefits as possible to community experts. Whatever teaching you desire, we can recommend community artists and Elders that can provide specific workshops for your company or organization.

This is going to be amazing!

The NT/NU Council of Friendship Centres is pleased to partner with Lila Fraser-Erasmus of Bows and Arrows Inc. along with Deh Gah Got'ie Dene Elders and Knowledge Keepers from Fort Providence, NT, for an upcoming Traditional Medicine Workshop.

We are looking for 10 participants for this opportunity. Participants will be chosen based on a selection process, with spots allocated as follows:

5 participants from Yellowknife, Ndilo, and Dettah

5 participants from Fort Providence

What is Provided:
Lunch, supper, and snacks

Travel and accommodations for the Yellowknife, Ndilo, and Dettah participants

Workshop Dates:
Group 1: June 28 - 30, 2026

Group 2: July 3 - 5, 2026

Application Deadline: June 17, 2026

Selection Notification: Those selected will be contacted on June 24, 2026, and will be provided with an information and welcome package.
