Do you need to cut out carbs if you have PMOS? 🍞

Not necessarily.

PMOS, or Polycystic Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, is a hormonal and metabolic condition that can affect things like menstrual cycles, fertility, insulin resistance and overall metabolic health.

In our recent June Health Lunch Lab, Sofia Kalamaris, Registered Dietitian & Certified Diabetes Educator, debunks one of the biggest nutrition myths surrounding PMOS.

Instead of eliminating carbohydrates altogether, Sofia explains why it’s more important to focus on the quality of the carbohydrates you eat. Choosing whole grains over refined carbohydrates can help support energy levels, increase fibre intake, and promote overall health.

At June Health, we host free virtual Lunch Labs every month, bringing together experts to share practical, evidence-based guidance on women’s health and parenting topics.

Keep an eye out for our free upcoming webinars!

August is National Wellness Month 💜

Wellness isn't about doing everything perfectly. It's about consistently making choices that support your health - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

That might mean:
✔️ Finally booking the appointment you've been putting off.
✔️ Getting answers to symptoms you've been told to ignore.
✔️ Prioritizing better sleep.
✔️ Taking care of your mental health.
✔️ Learning more about your body and what it needs.

Real wellness looks different for everyone, but one thing stays the same: you deserve care that's proactive, personalized, and easy to access.

This month, take one small step toward your health. Future you will thank you.

At June Health, we're here to support every step of that journey. 💜

Many people still think PMOS is simply an ovarian condition. In reality, it’s a complex metabolic condition that can affect hormones, fertility, insulin resistance, and long-term health.

In our recent Lunch Lab webinar, Dr. Romy Nitsch, Gynecologist and Medical Director at June Health, explains why our understanding of PMOS is evolving and why that matters for earlier diagnosis, better support, and improved health outcomes.

This is just one of the many conversations we have in our free virtual Lunch Labs hosted by June Health. Keep an eye out for upcoming webinars and registration details!

Self-care has become a workplace buzzword - but are we thinking about it the right way?

For years, organizations have invested in wellness initiatives to support employee wellbeing. Those programs matter, but they're only one piece of the puzzle.

Real self-care also means ensuring employees can access the healthcare they need - when they need it.

For women, that can mean faster access to specialized, expert care for concerns that are too often overlooked, delayed, or dismissed. And for employers, it means building a healthier, more supported workforce.

This International Self-Care Day, we're encouraging employers to expand the conversation from wellness to healthcare.

Because supporting employee wellbeing isn't just about encouraging healthy habits, it's about improving access to evidence-based care.

Ready to move beyond wellness perks? Book a demo to see how June Health empowers organizations with comprehensive women's healthcare that supports employees through every stage of life. Learn more: www.junehealth.care
