Pain control during labor is available in Uganda. It is provided using safe methods by skilled doctors called anaesthesiologists. Your obstetrician can place you in contact with an anaesthesiologist to plan the pain control method that works best for you.

Some of the methods of providing painless labour currently available in Uganda include

-Epidural analgesia
-Spinal analgesia
-Intravenous opiods
-Inhaled entonox

Of these methods, Epidural analgesia is the most effective at controlling pain
