Medicare Open Enrollment is underway. From October 15 through December 7, eligible people can review and make certain changes to their Medicare health or prescription drug coverage for next year.
There’s no prize for choosing a plan in the first 24 hours. Look at your doctors, prescriptions, pharmacy, costs, and the benefits you actually use. Then ask questions before making a change.

“Does my Medicare plan have dental?” is a good first question. The next question is: “What dental care does it cover, and how do I use it?”
Dental benefits can have rules about covered services, dentists, and how much the plan pays. It’s worth checking the details before you schedule work or assume a benefit covers the full bill.
If dental is important to you, make it part of your annual plan review.

You don’t have to understand every page of your Medicare paperwork before asking a question. Honestly, some of those documents could use a translator. 😂
If something in your plan notice catches your eye, write down the page number and what you want to know. A good review should leave you understanding your options, not nodding along while you’re still confused.

When you think about your Medicare plan, what benefits do you actually use?
Doctor visits and prescriptions usually come to mind first. Depending on your plan, you may also want to look at dental, vision, hearing, or other benefits that matter to you.
