A SEXISTENTIAL CRISIS.

Swipe left to see process and stills of the belts we created alongside stylist and creative director Haley Wollens for robyn during her recent tour.

Drawing on 80’s punk/pop style accessories we crafted a studded “SEX” belt, a couple of white and black ball, box and rhinestone fringe belts and repurposed an existing 80’s vintage piece and hand hammered an “EXIST” buckle to embellish it.

Each belt was crafted by the team to withstand the wear and tear of the tour as a Robyn wore the pieces throughout the entire run.

Thanks so much for working with us on this Haley and Luna Johnson ! This was a true honor as I have personally been a fan of Robyn since late 90’s! What an incredible feeling to dress one of your favorite pop legends and see them perform it live onstage. Will always be grateful for that .

THE REPENT MASK.

Hand poured silicone mesh-back stretchy mask with lasercut and bent nose bridge and lobster claw back closure - $98

Inspired by our recent work in we create a blindfold effect mask that allows the wearer to see clearly through the soft mesh while appearing blindfolded. Mini hexnut and screws secure the nose bridge that conforms to the nose. Made at our studio in NY.

After draping and connecting all the decorative chains, we hand applied the mini star rivets that dotted the piece.

Swipe to see details and process of the full leather look we designed and created for Boozey and ANASTASIA WALKER for the Video Music Awards

Anastasia wanted a specific vest, duster coat and jean combo and after seeing the distressed lamb leather option we sourced, creative director Chris Habana began sketching a few options. In the end , Chris worked with Jordan Allen create an oversized raw skin cut , silk lined leather 3 piece set.

The calf length duster coat had patch pocket details and raw skin edge capelet and leather cording created a faux stitch on the vest. The jeans were bootcut with a raw hem.,

Once completed, the studio added the final finishings and stained and over-dyed the entire look to create a darker, authentic western mood.

RED DEAD REDEMPTION.

The CHRISHABANA studio is so proud to have designed and crafted the 3 piece distressed leather look for Boozey during his recent performance with ❕WUNNA❕🥷🏻✝️ at the MTV Video Music Awards .

The performance centered around an old western set similar to his recent “High Noon” video. The look started with the distressed lamb leather vest and jeans with raw cut hems and later on the calf length duster coat was added to the ensemble.

Huge thanks to ANASTASIA WALKER and her team for trusting us to create this look. It’s always a pleasure to work with you Anastasia!

Stills and video of the masks and balaclavas we designed and created for 7 time winner Madonna and stylist rita melssen for the floating camera people who performed onstage during the opening number at the MTV Video Music Awards .

The entire stage set was a recreation of the original long form music film for Confessions 2. As the team produced the original masks for the film, we were tasked to recreate 12 masks in a performance ready way.

In the span of 2 weeks, the team tested out a number of ways to realize the brief so that the masks could survive the wear and tear, remain flexible for different faces and be flawless in the finish.

In the end , encasing paper mache masks in poured silicone proved the be the best option. After being matte sealed , the masks were assembled with laser cut aluminum frames and vinyl lenses alongside plumbing strips accenting the forehead and temples.

The robotic enhanced cheekbones of the mask were made out of foam, plastic spoons and allon screws and the entire mask fit over double sided zip up balaclavas that were cut and sewn .
