🗡️”Act. And God will act.” - St. Joan of Arc
Today is her feast day!

She accepted the guidance of the Archangel Michael, listening to the holy voice within and following her inner sacred compass.

She invites us to do the same. She reminds us of our sovereignty. And she lends us her courage.

All we have to do is ask for her help and support. (I was under her direct tutelage for, what turned out to be, an Archangel Michael Initiation 😳in 2024. Trust her.)

Here is a nice prayer I found; or you can make up your own:

Prayer to St. Joan of Arc in Times of Trouble
by Andrea Oefinger

St Joan of Arc, give me strength:
In this, my time of need, I beg thee to come to my aid.
I humbly ask thee to help me bear my trials with honour,
As I remember you in your earthly agonies.

Blessed Joan, duty bound to God, give me courage:
You who left family and friends to enter into God’s service,
Devout and valiant to uphold righteousness to the end,
While being insulted and harmed by your enemies.

Holy Joan, daughter of God, give me fortitude:
Help me to prevail in life and death over evil,
While bearing my injuries with the dignity you showed
When wounded in the breast, head, thigh, and heel.

Pious Joan, help me to be fearless:
Abandoned by the king you yourself had crowned,
Captured and sold to the highest bidder,
You put your trust in the King of Heaven to deliver you.

Venerable Joan, help me to be unwavering in my faith:
Beaten, bruised, questioned and accused,
You were denied that which you loved most:
Communion, confession, mass and public prayer.

Heroic Joan, help me to uphold justice:
Imprisoned, neglected, threatened and condemned,
Sentenced to die as a heretic, the most cruelest death,
To die by the fire and be raised up in heaven!

Glorious Virgin, please intercede for me:
(Share your request…)
Hear this petition and my heartfelt plea.
Pray for me in this, my time of need,
For I believe God will deny you nothing. Amen.

🌹📿Words are spells. Words are magic. Words have power.

During a recent Rosary Club, one of our members in Spirit, Youssef, guided us in the judicious use of language. He was a great master of words; he spoke 7 languages and worked as a translator for scientific and business concerns.

He said: practice until our words ring out “clear like a crystal bell.’

“You have good intentions but don’t always make use of the tools available to make good decisions.”

- Calm your nervous system before you speak. Check in with your body. Get calm before responding.

- Run all your words through a “compassion filter,” like a sieve of kindness and understanding. The St. Francis prayer is a good place to start.

- Train yourself to work with your anger. It is a helpful signal about what needs to be addressed. It has a sacred purpose, but we use it as a tool, it doesn’t control us.

- When you’ve been hit by another person’s words, remember your energetic hygiene. Get grounded, clear yourself with light, and protect yourself with prayer and light. This is a daily practice.

- Make sure it is a decision how you react, not coming from a place of emotion.

- Don’t forget to “change the sheets,” a little phrase that had a double meaning. If you need to pause to reflect and heal, it will feel like crawling into a bed with fresh sheets. But then, be willing to turn the page to a fresh sheet of paper. Be willing to change, to write a new script, to “write a new song.”

- Prayers have power. Use the established prayers (eg. The Psalms) to leverage the power of a deep lineage of people who have spoken those words. But also speak to God in your own words. “We are writing a new song, a new psalm.”

- Don’t forget to plug into your team in spirit! It’s like a spiritual container for your words so they are focused and productive. Bring it all to Our Lady.

Thank you, Youssef, and Rosary Club for always teaching me how to be better and better as we work together to make a world of connection and intention and peace.

🪻Auferstehung: Art meditation, Day 2

Day 2 of recovering my creative flow - our birthright - through art meditation.

once recommended putting on headphones and playing a piece of music while drawing with your eyes closed, filling up the whole page.

Today, I did a variation of that.

I drew the squiggles with a marker, eyes closed, then opened my eyes and started filling in the spaces.

The music: Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 in C Minor, the last movement. It’s called The Resurrection / Die Auferstehung. I sang it in college choir where it settled in my bones, a blessing of hope in a dark time.

I defy you to listen to it and not weep.

The antidote to cynicism and violence is in all those crescendoes and French horns and smashing cymbals, which tell me that humanity is built for better things.

🐕Sovereignty: Your Life, Off Leash

I took a walk in the chilly Spring sunshine today, listening to 💜🌈

The Guides said, “Hey! Turn here.” So I went into the park and came across this sign. They said, “This is your life! It’s an off leash area!” Then they laughed and laughed.

They’re saying we are free. We can decide. We are not obligated to stay on the “leash” of old ideas, beliefs, expectations. We are free to decide how we react.

Life is always happening, and we can experience a range of emotions about it, including the less popular ones like grief and anger. But we can work with our emotions and experience them without getting derailed by them.

When we get our nervous systems balanced, we can experience life from a perspective of freedom and wisdom. Then we are off leash! And living in sovereignty.

❤️Spring snow & signs

The plow woke me up today. Another 1-2” of snow fell overnight. Boy, the Groundhog was right about a long winter.

I looked out, and this guy was looking back. I’m sure his mate was somewhere nearby. A bunch of house finches, nut hatches, and chickadees were scouting out the arborvitae closer to the house for a good place to nest.

Life is happening.

We get to be part of it. We get to decide how we want to be. Sovereignty means witnessing, staying aligned with the Divine, being grateful, taking right action to be an agent of peace.

Spring is near. Let’s be part of the renewal to make the world better.

🌹📿Rosary Club technical failure.
Well, I have been trying to go Live for 10 minutes and IG won’t connect. It keeps pausing for poor connection. I’m waving the white flag of surrender in the face of technological difficulties…. How about this instead:

🕊️Madonna della Misericordia, prega per noi.
🌹Madonna of Mercy, pray for us.
📿Mater Misericordiae, ora pro nobis.

I took these photos in a side chapel at the Basilica Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari in Venice. It is the home of a much more famous painting, the luminous work by Titian, “The Assumption of the Virgin.” But this is the image that came in last night as I prayed for peace.

“Our Lady, pray for us. Intercede on our behalf. That we may know peace and drop all illusions of separation from God and our fellows.”

She came in and stretched her arms. Her cloak grew and grew to envelop all the world and all people. No one and no thing is excluded.

She is the Queen of the Universe. We all belong to her. The definition of Mercy is forgiveness, compassion. These are her ways. They are ours too, if we are connected to our Divinity.

We ask Our Lady, the mother of us all, to show us mercy and to help us remember who we are called to be in this world. Eternal blessings and peace be upon you and all.

🌹📿Rosary Club today at 4pm ET on IG Live. All welcome. FAQs on website; link in bio.

Ps. This is a Franciscan cathedral. More on what St. Francis is up to in my life at a later date.

🌳🍎A Place of Forgiveness: a Lenten Meditation

I just did a shamanic journey that brought me to a sort of cavern of forgiveness. I thought I would share in case you want to use what came in as a guided meditation. It was very Lenten! (You could read this aloud and record yourself, to use in meditation.)

Here’s how it went:

After setting intentions and protections, my Guides came in and made markings on me in ash, an old symbol of repentance.

I was guided to a sacred tree, where I entered into the Middle World. I was led to a boat, which carried me down a river, to a spot where a group of guides encircled another tree.

They invited me to that second tree, which opened into a small dirt cavern, almost a burrow, which was lit up in peachy gold/orange light. It felt very safe.

In the middle of the cavern was a clay jar. I sense I was to release into the jar all the mistakes, harms to self and others, regrets, guilt and sorrow, that I still carry around. I named them out loud as I placed them in the jar.

Then there was oil in the jar, and I knew to anoint myself with this sacred oil. Then I began to pray. What came through was the Ho’oponopono prayer of forgiveness:

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
I thank you.
I love you.

I repeated that until it felt complete. (You can use a mala, which has 108 beads, for this if you like.) The jar was empty, released to God.

I exited the cavern and thanked the Guides, who held and protected the space. They led me back to the boat, which traveled up the river to the original tree, where I met my main Guide.

I returned to current time and space. I called in angelic ultraviolet light to pour down to clear and seal my field. I thanked the guides.

It’s time to let go of all the stuff that doesn’t serve us anymore! Give it a try and let me know how you do.

🎥This original painting by Ford Ruthling is called “Garden of Eden.”
It says,
T’was of this tree
the serpant [sic] - that
luscious fruit did gather
Adam & Eve both did
receive the thing that proved so bitter.”
