Book Launch: Room Tone with Rosa Aiello and Theresa Roessler

Rosa Aiello and Theresa Roessler present Room Tone, a reflection on methods of documentary and experimental filmmaking as a relational and collaborative practice. What do filmmaking processes generate beyond stories told through images and sound—social and interpersonal dynamics, out-of-the-ordinariness, a hierarchy of roles, shifting states of observation, performativity, belonging, and resistance?

Within the conceptual space of this question, Aiello has invited filmmakers Helin Çelik, Beatrice Gibson, and Ivana Mladenović to respond. An essay by Yaniya Lee contextualizes Aiello's ongoing interest in methodology and collaboration, and discusses her film works from her exhibition A Good Reputation at Westfälischer Kunstverein in Münster (2025/26).

Children’s Workshops by Kaspar Müller

Artist Kaspar Müller, in collaboration with Ballonsalon Peng , invites children to explore shape and colour through the making of floating balloon works. Using foil, stickers, glitter, vinyl and other materials, participants develop their own objects within an open studio setting. The mezzanine floor gradually transforms as the balloons accumulate, forming a changing installation over the course of the workshop.

Book Launch: Basel Dialogues Vol. 2, Desire for Transmission by the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW with Quinn Latimer , Claudia Perren , Pauline Julier , Jacqueline Loekito , and Matylda Krzykowski

The second volume of the Basel Dialogues critical book series, published by the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW (HGK Basel) and Christoph Merian Verlag, launches at Liste 2026 with a series of conversations: an introduction to the series by editors Claudia Perren and Quinn Latimer, followed by a talk with Pauline Julier and Quinn Latimer on the political desires of moving images, an concluding with a conversation between Jacqueline Loekito and Matylda Krzykowski on waves of theory and practice in fashion and publishing.

This year, Liste’s public programme launches an intervention space in its foyer, which is curated in collaboration with Daisy Chain – Basel’s new project space run by Gina Folly and Sven Gex

We’re excited to share the public programme of Liste 2026, now on view online via the link in bio.

Alongside a broad range of booth presentations by the galleries participating in Liste’s 2026 edition, the fair continues to expand its curated public programme across performances, conversations, screenings, workshops, concerts, and collaborative formats unfolding throughout the building.

zaza‘ presents a new group of paintings and works on paper by Antonio López. His current work engages with the polemics of pictorial representation in relation to human mobility and the production-reception cycles of image-making, producing images that fluctuate between states of accumulation and loss.

zaza', Milan/Naples presents Antonio Lopez

Antonio López (b. 1993, Quito; lives between Frankfurt and Quito) works within the language of Western painting while subtly displacing it. Trained in Chicago and at the Städelschule under Monika Baer, he approaches abstraction as a historically charged system rather than a neutral form. For Liste, this tension extends into the booth architecture: one side closed and opaque, the other open and continuous, staging a spatial dialogue between enclosure and exposure that mirrors the instability within the paintings themselves.

YveYang Gallery, New York presents William Feaver .feaver

YveYang Gallery presents a focused installation of paintings by William Feaver that approaches landscape as a form of portraiture. Developed through years of returning to the same terrains—particularly the hills and valleys of Northumberland—these works accumulate through repeated observation and layered marks. Rather than depicting scenery, Feaver maps the slow formation of place, where weather, memory, and geological time converge.
