😮STRETCHING HIPS😮

New study just out on hip pain found that both stretching and strengthening improved hip-related quality of life over 6 months.

But before all the mobility gurus start salivating, strengthening still led to better odds of pain improvement and if course strength gains!

However the real takeaway from this is if you’ve got hip pain you have options.

Stretching may suit those already strong and active.

Strengthening may suit those with more pain, weakness, or lower capacity.

Good rehab isn’t about forcing everyone into your favourite exercise cult.

It’s about matching the approach to the person.

Less dogma. More clinical reasoning

🤦‍♂️THIS BOZO🤦‍♂️

As predicted he thinks he’s won but he’s also crying that we aren’t friends and wants an apology from me!

Well Naudi it will gonna be cold day in hell before that happens my slippery little worm!

You don’t get to act all moral and superior after years of abuse, attacks, lies, defamation, and general nasty sh*thousery of the highest order!

You also don’t get to demand everyone proves deadlifts and squats are safe forever before providing any evidence they cause harm or dysfunction

That’s not science and you’re not scientific

And watch this space for some very interesting news that I will be sharing soon highlighting Naudi and many of his Functional Patterns drones bullying, intimidating, harassing and defaming tactics they like to use!

When Naudi and his Functional Patterns cult say:

“There’s no longitudinal evidence supporting squats and deadlifts.”

They’re correct for once… but

There is ALSO no longitudinal evidence showing squats and deadlifts cause higher rates of chronic back pain, disability, spinal degeneration or dysfunction.

Many researchers are literally using deadlifts and squats as interventions for chronic pain, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and falls prevention.

Which creates a slightly awkward situation for these bozos claiming these exercises are inherently dysfunctional, degenerative, and dangerous.

Once again please avoid this malicious cult hell bent on demonising normal healthy safe exercise and replacing it with their own brand of bu****it whilst putting the fear of god into about doing some deadlifts and drinking a cup of coffee!

Worst group of people in this field I have ever come across… nothing good to say about them or their behaviours!

Sound like anyone you know… 😂

What kind of gyms is this dude going to… and where are they?

Purely for research purposes of course! 😏

🤔PART 2🤫

My response to his response… 🤦‍♂️

And I’m sure he will respond my response to his response!

But I’m done with the slippery little worm… for now! 😎

🤣IRONY🤣

Naudi has finally discovered the importance of good quality long-term evidence.

A touching moment, considering he’s spent the last 20 years telling everyone his Functional Patterns system is superior without having any himself.

For the record, I agree we need more long-term research on deadlifts.

Bur currently despite all the claims there is NO evidence showing deadlifts are harmful, dangerous, or detrimental to humans in the way he constantly claims.

We do, however, have evidence showing they can be safe and beneficial for older adults, people with osteoporosis, and even those with persistent low back pain.

Also, I’m apparently “hiding” my injuries now.

Which is news to me, considering I’ve spent years posting about them publicly.

Turns out if you lift heavy, play rugby, do martial arts, and generally train hard for decades, you occasionally get injured.

That’s called being physically active.

Anyway, enjoy watching a man who built his entire brand on attacking everyone else suddenly demanding professionalism and civility.

The irony here is heavier than my deadlifts 🤣

😖PREVENT BACK PAIN😖

I know this video is unlikely to be seen by as many as those who claim clamshells and planks prevent back pain but so be it!

Because if preventing low back pain was as simple as “activating your core” or stretching your psoas… my job would be a hell of a lot easier.

The evidence-based reality is that back pain is influenced by a messy mix of physical, lifestyle, health, stress, sleep, and psychosocial factors.

So…
Move often!
Sleep better!
Stress less!
Stay generally happy and healthy!

And also stop treating your spine like it’s made of stale breadsticks and regret.

Spines are adaptable, robust, and designed to move.
