Here are 5 signs you might be stuck in survival mode:
1. You’re tired but can’t sleep
You feel drained all day, but the moment you lie down your mind won’t switch off. When your body stays in high alert for too long, it forgets how to fully relax.
2. Small things feel overwhelming
Your system is overloaded, so even minor things like messages or small changes feel like too much. It’s not weakness, it’s capacity.
3. Your appetite is off
You either don’t feel hungry at all or you can’t stop eating. Both happen when your body loses connection to its natural hunger signals.
4. You feel disconnected
You go through the motions but feel numb or distant from yourself. This is your body protecting you, not failing you.
5. You’re always waiting for something to go wrong
Even in calm moments, there’s tension. Like peace won’t last. That’s what happens when your system doesn’t feel safe yet.
