Is DASH available in your language? How about PRWE? MHQ? 🤔

For many European countries the answer is still no.

Without validated translations, results cannot be compared, pooled or built into international databases.

The FESSH PROMs Grant exists to close that gap.

Research groups can apply for €5,000 to carry out a one-year translation and validation study of core hand assessment instruments for their country. Previous grants have supported validation studies from Spain to Sweden and from Greece to Poland. 🙌

In this video, members of the FESSH Research Committee explain what the Grant covers and how to build a strong application as the applications for the 2027 PROMs Grant are open NOW.

Most congress delegates arrive in Prague on the first day...
A few arrive two weeks earlier. 😇

They spend those weeks inside leading Czech hand surgery units, seeing how other teams think, plan and operate.
They move from arthroplasty to microsurgery, from nerve surgery to trauma. .. and they build the kind of network that lasts long after the congress ends.

By the time FESSH 2027 opens, they are no longer just delegates. They are Congress Fellows.

A child’s tendon injury is not simply a smaller version of an adult case.

Growth, rehabilitation, cooperation and the risk of re-rupture can all change the treatment plan, which is why paediatric tendon injuries require their own approach.

The upcoming FESSH Pediatric Hand SIG Webinar brings surgeons and therapists together for a focused discussion on post-traumatic tendon injuries in children.
