Tragsystem für Tuba Sousaphon etc. - Gebrauchsanweisung
Das CroXbelt Tragsystem wird Ihnen ein Leben lang Freude bereiten, und es wird ihrem Tuba- und Sousaphonspiel gut tun, weil der Körper zentral und nicht einseitig belastet wird. Sie können denselben Gurt sowohl für Tuba wie auch für Sousaphon benutzen, oder für jedes Instrument immer einen CroXbelt dabeihaben, wie Sie wollen. Nun - aller Anfang ist schwer, bis die Gurten richtig am Körper sitzen. Vielleicht brauchen Sie eine Assistenz beim ersten Mal. Aber eigentlich ist es einfach: Halten Sie den Gurt am Zentralteil in die Höhe und schauen Sie, dass alle drei Gurtschlaufen etwa gleich lang nach unten hängen, nötigenfalls korrigieren Sie dies. Dann streifen sie alle drei Gurtschlaufen wie einen Schal über ihren Kopf, so dass das Zentralteil mit der Aufschrift CroXbelt von vorne lesbar auf ihren Bauch zu liegen kommt. Dann streifen Sie den Gurt, der zuunterst und am nächsten an ihrer rechten Körperseite liegt, nach unten um ihre Taille (1), dann den nächsten Gurt (2) ohne Verstellschnalle unter ihrem Arm hindurch von hinten über die linke Schulter (2), und dasselbe auf der andern Seite (3). Die Klemmschnalle sollte jetzt ungefähr auf der Höhe ihres rechten Schlüsselbeins liegen. Falls notwendig die Gurten und Teile soweit nachschieben bis das stimmt. Achten Sie drauf - die Gurten liegen ganz am Körper an, überschneiden sich nicht und sind auch nicht verdreht, wenn richtig angezogen. Behalten Sie den Gurt am Körper, ziehen sie die Jacke wieder an oder nehmen den Pullover über die Schultern, wie es Ihnen beliebt. Als nächsten Schritt halten Sie die Tuba oder das Sousaphon am Rohr des Mundstückes in die Luft und bestimmen den Punkt am untersten Rohr, der genau vertikal darunter liegt. Das ist wichtig, damit das Instrument zentrisch richtig hängt und nicht auf die eine oder andere Seite zieht. Dann nehmen Sie den CroXstrap (4), das ist der Gurt mit dem D-Ring und dem Klettband, und befestigen diesen am vorher bestimmten Punkt, so dass die Gummilasche auf das Rohr zu liegen kommt und der D-Ring von unten gegen ihren Bauch zeigt. Da brauchen Sie etwas Kraft um den Strap unter Zug auf dem Rohr unverrückbar befestigen zu können. Jetzt können Sie mit dem Doppelkarabiner ihr Instrument am D-Ring und am Zentralteil des CroXbelt einhängen. Beim Sousaphon sind Sie nun bereits am Ziel.
Bei der Tuba müssen Sie schauen, ob die angelöteten Ösen am Instrument an guten Positionen sitzen. Falls ja, hängen sie die bereits vorhandenen Plastikkarabiner dort ein. Maximal sind dies vier Stück, die Sie brauchen wenn nötig. Falls nun gar keine Ösen am Instrument angebracht sind, oder alle am denkbar ungünstigsten Ort, dann kaufen Sie einen oder zwei zusätzliche CroXstraps und befestigen diese analog, dort wo es für das Einhängen der Plastikkarabiner dienlich ist. Sie werden einige Zeit brauchen bis der CroXbelt für Sie und das Instrument richtig eingestellt ist. CroXbelt gibt es nur in einer Grösse. Das heisst Sie müssen den Gurt so lange nachschieben bis die Teile dort sitzen wie oben beschrieben. Mit der Klemmschnalle können Sie den Gurt so lange justieren bis er stimmt und so auch das Mundstück in die richtige Höhe bringen. Wenn Sie sehr schlank und eher klein sind, wird die restliche Gurte zu lange sein. Rollen Sie den überständigen Gurt zusammen und machen ein Gummiband darum herum. Und wenn Sie dann ganz sicher sind, wieviel Sie vom Gurt abschneiden können, dann tun Sie dies mit einer scharfen Schere, verkleben mit einer Flamme die Schnittfläche und vernähen das Gurtende so wie dieses schon war.

strap system for tuba and sousaphone
Congratulations to you and your new CroXbelt. A match made in heaven, I assure you! Because the weight of the tuba/sousaphone will be dispersed equally throughout your upper body instead of only on one of your shoulders, you will experience a new found ease and joy playing your instrument. You can use the same CroXbelt strap for either tuba or sousaphone or purchase one for each instrument so they are individually setup and ready to go on the fly.
You might need some assistance when setting it up for the first time - but setting up the Croxbelt is simple:
Pick up the CroxBelt at the black central part in to the hight so that all three belt loops are hanging down in equal length. Make any adjustments if the belt loops are not hanging down at equal lengths. Then, slip the three loops around your neck like a scarf, so that the central part sits onto your belly with the "CroXbelt" clearly legible from the frontside. Now look and notice the three belts and make the following adjustments: Pick up the belt(1) that is lowest and closest to the right side of your body and move it downwards and around your waist. Now grab the belt(2) WITHOUT the ladder lock and move it underneath your arm and back over your left shoulder. Now do the same thing for the other belt(3) but on the other side. The ladder lock should now be somewhere close to your collarbone on the right side. If necessary shift the belts and plastic parts as far as needed to adhere to this alignment. Pay attention - the belts fit tightly to your body and never tangle or cross over. This can happen on your back when you first put it on, but should be adjusted quickly before the weight of the instrument is added. You can keep your belt on the body, over a shirt directly preferably. Over that you can add a jacket, blazer or pullover. Adjust your clothes so they are not bunched up underneath the belt. Okay, now you look really good with your CroXbelt! For the next step, hold your tuba or sousaphone with the lead pipe of the instrument facing up. Fix the belt to the lowest curved pipe of the instrument - the point which is vertically under the mouthpiece. This is quite important so that the instrument is hanging centered in front of your body with the mouthpiece in front of your lips. The instrument should not slide from one side to the other. Pick the CroxStrap (belt 4), the belt with the hooks and fleece, and fix this strap - at the point you just found vertically under the lead pipe - so that the rubber part sits on the tube and the D-ring is pointing to your belly. You need some force to strain that strap around the tube so that it will remain in its position. Now you can hook your instrument into the D-ring with the double snap-hook - and you are done with the Croxbelt adjustments for the sousaphone!
Regarding the set up for a concert tuba, you have to check if the soldered hooks and rings on the instrument are in ideal positions. If they are, clip the twisted swivel plastic hooks in. You will find on each side of the belt two hooks that can be used if necessary. If no hooks or rings can be fixed on your tuba then buy another CroxStrap or two and fix them onto your instrument where you will need an additional ring. It will take some time until your CroXbelt is fixed correctly around your body and you might have to change the positions of the CroxStrap several times. Don't give up, it WILL fit!
The CroXbelt is made in Switzerland in only one size. That means that you have to adjust the belt until it sits in its correct position. With the plastic ladder lock you can adjust the height of your tuba or sousaphone until it sits perfectly in front of your mouth - what a sensation! If you are a slender person and not so tall, the default belt adjustments will be too long. Roll-up the extra part of the belt and secure it with a rubber band. If you are satisfied with the adjusted length of the belt and not planning on using it for other instruments, you can cut off the extra length. Glue the cut end with a flame and sew the ending as it had been before. Do not hesitate to call or write an email to get more informations.
