✨ DW Health & Wellbeing successfully held its 1st Online Capacity Building Session on the topic of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) on 27th January 2026 via Google Meet 💻🕖.
The session aimed to raise awareness 📢, strengthen understanding 📚, and build participants capacity to identify, prevent, and respond effectively to gender-based violence within communities and healthcare settings 🏥🤝.
It also provided a safe and engaging space for meaningful dialogue and shared learning 🗣️✨.
The session was presented by Ghaila Favour, a Level one medical student at SHMS-CATUC, who delivered a clear, insightful, and impactful presentation highlighting the realities, consequences, and prevention of gender-based violence 💡💜.
Moderation and supervision were led by Nomene Tiwa Darios Wilson , a 4th-year medical student, health advocate, Scora-CAMSA DA, and Founder and President of DW Health & Wellbeing, ensuring a smooth, interactive, and educative session 👨🏽⚕️🌍.
Overall, the session was impactful and well received, marking an important milestone in DW Health & Wellbeing’s mission to promote health, safety, and wellbeing through education and advocacy 🌱💪.
