🏆 𝐋𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐞𝐚 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐮 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 !

Les 25 et 28 mai, 32 jeunes innovateurs ont concouru au Youth Innovation Center de Buea Town — et 21 d'entre eux sont repartis avec des financements et des prix. 🎉

Des éco-carburants aux plateformes numériques, en passant par des chaussures perlées et des solutions agri-tech, la créativité affichée était vraiment inspirante. Cinq lauréats par catégorie ont chacun reçu 1 000 000 FCFA ou plus, tandis que 16 autres ont été reconnus dans le cadre de nos composantes EST et MSE.

C'est cela, l'autonomisation des jeunes. Fiers de chaque participant ! 🙌

🏆 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐞𝐚 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝!

On May 25 & 28, 32 young innovators competed at the Youth Innovation Center in Buea Town — and 21 of them went home with funding and prizes. 🎉

From eco-fuels and digital platforms to beaded footwear and agri-tech solutions, the creativity on display was truly inspiring. Five category winners each received 1,000,000 FCFA or more, with 16 others recognized under our EST and MSE components.

This is what youth empowerment looks like. Proud of every single participant! 🙌

In Cameroon's West Region, the Mushroom Common Initiative Group once relied on slow, artisanal methods that kept growth out of reach. That changed when they entered the 𝐆𝐇𝐒𝐒 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 (𝐑𝐘𝐈𝐂) — and won.

💡 With a 𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐂𝐅𝐀 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 under the Education and Economic Empowerment Project (E-E-E-P), funded by the Mastercard Foundation, the group invested in an industrial mixer that transformed their operations — boosting production, improving quality, cutting losses, and opening doors to supermarket contracts.

Their team has grown from 6 to 𝟖 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟔 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬, and they've launched exciting new products including mushroom wine, mushroom-enriched chocolates, and breaded mushrooms — now reaching consumers across Bafoussam through mobile kiosks.

Les 13 et 15 mai 2026, 𝟐𝟓 𝐣𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬 ont pris d'assaut la scène de Douala dans le cadre du 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐑é𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝'𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞 (𝐑𝐘𝐈𝐂) — dans le cadre du 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐭 É𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 É𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 (𝐄𝐄𝐄-𝐏), mis en œuvre par GHSS avec le soutien de la Fondation Mastercard.

Après des pitchs intenses devant un jury distingué et les autorités régionales, 𝟏𝟓 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐬 se sont affrontés et 𝟔 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐫é𝐚𝐭𝐬 ont été sélectionnés pour leur originalité et leur impact concret — avec des projets couvrant l'IA dans l'éducation, l'énergie durable, l'agriculture sans engrais chimiques, et l'économie créative du Cameroun.

Au-delà de la compétition, les participants ont bénéficié de formations pratiques en entrepreneuriat, légalisation d'entreprise et santé communautaire — repartant autonomes et prêts à construire.

🏆 Les lauréats reçoivent des prix allant de 𝟐𝟓𝟎 𝟎𝟎𝟎 à 𝟓 𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐬 𝐂𝐅𝐀, et GHSS reste engagé à soutenir les projets prometteurs portés par les jeunes, bien au-delà du Concours. 🇨🇲✨

On May 13 & 15, 2026, 𝟐𝟓 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 took the stage in Douala for 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 (𝐑𝐘𝐈𝐂) — under the 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 (𝐄𝐄𝐄-𝐏), implemented by GHSS with support from the Mastercard Foundation.

After intense pitching before a distinguished jury and regional authorities, 𝟏𝟓 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 competed and 𝟔 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 were selected for their originality and real-world impact — with projects spanning AI in education, sustainable energy, fertilizer-free farming, and Cameroon's creative economy.

Beyond the competition, participants gained hands-on training in entrepreneurship, business legalization, and community health — leaving empowered and ready to build.

Meet 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐲𝐮𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭, founder of Ideal Farmers—a powerful example of resilience and innovation. What began with just one fish tank has grown into a business producing two tonnes of fish monthly.

With support from the GHSS grant, production scaled from 1,000 to 3,000 fish per month, paving the way for expansion to six tanks.

𝐆𝐇𝐒𝐒 𝐜é𝐥è𝐛𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐚 𝐅ê𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐮 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞!

Le 1er mai 2026, Global Health Systems Solutions (𝐆𝐇𝐒𝐒) a fièrement célébré la 104e édition de la Fête du Travail à Douala, au Cameroun. Le point d' orgue de la journée fut un match de football palpitant opposant l' équipe de 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐂𝐨𝐀𝐠) à celle du projet 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 (𝐄𝐄𝐄-𝐏). Après une rencontre intense qui s' est prolongée par une séance de tirs au but, 𝐂𝐨𝐀𝐠 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭é 𝐥𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐢𝐫𝐞, décrochant un trophée, des médailles et un prix en espèces. L' équipe 𝐄𝐄𝐄-𝐏 a décroché la deuxième place avec autant de combativité et de détermination, tandis que le Dr Achanyi Alemnji a été élu Homme du Match. Le Directeur Exécutif de GHSS, le 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐍𝐣𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐠, a présidé l' événement et a été honoré par le personnel de la branche GHSS de Yaoundé pour ses années de leadership dévoué. Il a félicité tout le personnel, salué le fair-play dont ont fait preuve les équipes durant le match et souligné que le véritable sens de cette célébration résidait dans 𝐥' 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭é, 𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐝' é𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐞 𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐱 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬.

La journée s' est conclue dans la joie, la camaraderie et un engagement renouvelé envers la mission d' excellence et d' impact de GHSS.
