Antimicrobial agents are embedded in the catheter material at the molecular level, forming an effective antimicrobial film around the catheter once it enters the bloodstream. This helps significantly reduce the occurrence of catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSI) during the 30-day indwelling period.
