👉Literature Update

This prospective single-arm interventional study involved 39 maintenance hemodialysis patients. After 6 months of weekly combined treatment (HP-HD), patients showed a significant increase in hemoglobin levels and a reduction of more than 50% in the ESA resistance index.

The results demonstrated that HP-HD might perform best in eliminating pCS and achieved equal clearances of middle-molecular toxins compared with HDF, suggesting the role of hemoadsorption in toxin removal and anemia improvement.

🩺Clinical Case Update

A public hospital in Guizhou, China, recently reported a successful treatment for a severe Many-banded Krait bite.

On 22nd April, a 52-year-old patient was admitted to the ICU 1 hour after envenomation. Presented with acute respiratory failure, the medical team immediately administered antivenom and initiated blood purification therapy. Following 72 hours of continuous monitoring and treatment, the patient regained consciousness and was successfully extubated on 26th April.

The Jafron DX-10 Blood Purification Device used in this case is one of the units donated to regional hospitals through a healthcare support program. Since 2023, Jafron has donated about 1,600,000 USD of medical supplies and funding to Guizhou Province to support digital transformation and infrastructure improvements at rural medical institutions.
