Remembering an incredibly stylish and talented woman today - my mother, Eve Turner - artist, writer and passionate feminist!

Exactly a year ago, while visiting me here in Costa Rica, she got caught in a riptide and died in the Pacific Ocean

What followed was the most extreme, traumatic and unbelievable year for my family.

Then, like a lotus through the mud, came the unexpected pregnancy and birth of my daughter Tiga.

One awesome female left the family, another arrived

I bloody love you, Mum. I know you’re giving all those dead misogynists hell in the spirit realm!

Thanks so much to for the ‘Fierce as F*ck’ shoot we did a couple of months back.

I wanted to do something raw and primal - no soft focus or Virgin Mary shots and definitely no pics of gazing at my belly adoringly - not an easy brief for a photographer whose client is a self-conscious, hormonal pregnant woman carrying 10 extra kilos and some newly acquired cankles - but Dan totally 🙏🏽

(Eli owned the shots like a dreadlocked Naomi Campbell whereas I was much more 😩)
