We are so used to rushing through.

To the next task, the next place, the next version of ourselves.

But when you stop… really stop… you start to notice the way light filters through the jungle canopy in the morning.

The sound of birds talking across the jungle.
The smell of something growing.
The feeling of your own breath.

Presence isn't a practice you have to travel somewhere to find. But it certainly helps to be somewhere that makes it easy to remember.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and science is finally catching up to what many of us already feel intuitively.

A University of Michigan study found that just 20–30 minutes outside significantly lowers cortisol, your body’s main stress hormone.
