Wisdom from Thich Nhat Hanh. 🙏🏻 It reminds me of a favourite expression they have in India, “everything possible.”

How’s everyone doing?

Happy Spring. ☀️ In the second picture you can just see the house I’ve been living in and renovating all winter. I’m making good progress and looking forward to continuing to film something special I’ve been working on.

Who’s the bigger fool? The fool, or the fool who pledges fealty to a fool?

The thought that one human being is above another, purely because of “breeding,” goes against common sense and innate wisdom.

God save the people from a monarch who has sold us out to the world economic forum, amongst other sins.

Let him eat bugs.

Meditation arises when there is no meditator meditating. True meditation is the absence of anything. So the mistake people make is calling practice “meditation.” If you look around the internet you’ll see that people mistakenly call many spiritual practices meditation. An example: “breathing meditation” … “abundance meditation” … “guided meditation” (that one makes me fall about laughing). Seeing “meditation” menus like that is a red flag which means your teacher doesn’t know their ass from their elbow and has taken on board a load of concepts and other people’s ideas.

Meditation teacher training is a joke. You see unless you’ve experienced true emptiness in which the observer and the observed are one, or a state of no mind, it’s the blind leading the blind.

And yes I teach practices which can lead to the spontaneous arising of a meditative state. As informed and prepared by multiple arisings of this state within me.

And to end on a positive note here, it’s possible for many people to get to this. Who knows? Maybe you could be next.

Kidding aside, when you go traveling now, this is a bit how it feels. I’ve noticed that when anybody has a spare moment, they start scrolling around instead of looking at their surroundings, or perhaps even talking to someone.

Using one of these phones, by definition, turns you into a cybernetic organism. Let that sink in.

Do any of you ever do digital detoxes? How does it feel to be away from your phone?

And a question to the younger people here, do you know what life is like without a mobile phone? Or to the environmentally minded, have you considered the impact of mining precious rare metals for your latest gadget? And have you ever considered how much energy it takes to run the mobile phone networks and the super computers?

I realise I’m typing this from a phone. It’s my partner’s very old iPhone because I don’t own an iPhone myself.

The smart phone has gone from being a convenience to being an essential item. I would have been unable to book travel for this current trip in Costa Rica without a smart phone.

When we shift to central bank digital currency everyone will be enslaved by their smart phone, their personal government tracking and listening device.

It’s ironic that gen Z blame the boomers for messing up the planet when they are ushering in this digital gulag without batting an eye.

The solution here is to try stepping away from your phone for a day or a week. Leave the phone at home and use cash. Use it as an awareness practice to see how you feel without your phone. The most common feeling is anxiety. What else comes up?

I’ve been a bit inactive on social media for a few weeks. I was busy with a project, so to speak, of preparing for my next adventure.

I moved out of my rented house in Yorkshire and embarked on an open ended exploration with my family.

Currently I’m sat sweating in Costa Rica near a beautiful beach. This is a picture of this time last week, when it stopped raining for a spell and I had a cup of tea at a favourite spot in the Wolds.

I’ll be back to England for visits, but for now I’m in travel mode, seeing what this Pura Vida is all about.

What would you add to this list? 👇🏼

I know these are all of the medical benefits, but there are also many subtle, spiritual benefits as well.

For me, I find it helps drop conditioning from the body mind organism. Also I find teaching Qi Gong as a great way to help people enter a state of effortless action, Wu Wei, which can open doors to emptiness.

Let me know below how Qi Gong benefits you. And if you aren’t already practicing, or would like to deepen your practice, I have an online subscription and offer 1:1 sessions online as well.

For free videos on meditation, conditioning, healing and more, be sure to check out my Rumble channel (see the link in my profile).
