Some people will focus on your accent.
Some will count your grammar mistakes.
Some will question your delivery.
As a hairstylist, I spent years helping people let go of the pressure to fit someone else’s definition of perfect.
Beyond the chair, this value of mine stays the same.
I don’t believe perfection creates impact.
I believe courage does.
Because every time you wait until you’re flawless… you delay the very message someone else needed to hear.
The people who change industries, challenge norms, and inspire others rarely sound like everyone else.
They simply decide that their purpose is bigger than their fear of being judged.
That is the philosophy I choose to live by.
So I’ll leave you with this:
Is it really about their imperfection??? Or is it uncomfortable for you to see someone show up imperfectly while you’re still waitinf for permission to do the same or to be yourself?
Or is it that you’re protecting your own fear of being seen?
