World Cancer Day 2026
Today, February 4, is World Cancer Day. It’s a powerful reminder that prevention can start with everyday choices, and those choices add up.
It is estimated that 30-50% of cancer cases may be preventable through healthier lifestyles and supportive environments!
WCRF/AICR offer research-based recommendations to help reduce cancer risk.
This is how you can get started:
1) Move more, sit less
2) Eat a plant-based diet
3) Drink mostly water and unsweetened drinks
4) Limit “fast foods” and highly processed foods
5) Limit red meat and avoid processed meat
6) Rethink alcohol: the less you drink, the better, and none is best.
Today could be the start of a new healthier you!
