Building a barrier-free Europe.
Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the European Parliament reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that all EU citizens can enjoy access to basic facilities, as well as freedom of movement.
Parliament has adopted rules to ensure that the European Disability Card and the European Parking Card are made available in all EU countries.
Among other benefits, these cards will help to ensure adequate access to:
✔️ parking facilities
✔️ public transport
✔️ museums, leisure facilities and amusement parks
✔️ personal assistance, where required
